G
Well I woke up Sunday mornin
w/u C D G
With no way to hold my head that didnt hurt
G w/d Em
And the beer I had for breakfast wasnt bad
D D7 G D7
So I had one more for dessert
G
Then I fumbled in my closet
w/u C D
For my clothes and found my cleanest dirty
G w/d Em
shirt
C Am7
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
C D7 G
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day

Another way to do it. Some of the chord
changes may vary depending on the version of
the song, but without a doubt, all of them
are exactly the same for the chorus:
C
On a Sunday mornin sidewalk
G
Im wishin' lord that I was stoned
D7
Cause theres somethin in a Sunday
G
That makes the body feel alone

Then the same for the rest.
The version you have here is similar to
a version I found in a tab book for
Johnny Cash, and think that the chords are
the same as I listed above, from memory. I
found the tab book in a music store, and I
figured well, having a minor seventh chord
in this song, I didn't think to use one, but
if it was in the book, then it's probably
the way it was written, because he did that
song the way Kris wrote it.
Good tab, it's the most accurate that I have ever seen on the web.

Thanks. And I've seen this played several different ways...this is how I play it. I can understand, though, the changes you've made. With a song like this, I suppose it's all about interpretation.
