Cruising Timber on the Divide

(D) School Marms, and (G) Widow (D) Makers
Jargon for tree- types you run into (A) cruising
Double (D) crotches, and (G) dead limb (D) hangers
 Must be aware to (A) or you will be  (D) losing

And (D) then theres (G) barber (D) chairs
The stumps that werent cut (A) clean
The  (D) saws handled (G) with lack of (D) care
Barber Chairs can (A) impale you if not (D) seen

Rotten  logs with (G) bark that is (D) loose
Play havoc on bone-dry corked (A) boots
One (D) careless footstep (G) and you are in natures (D) noose
 Has (D) sent many a (A) cruiser down its (D) shoots

But it is not all (G) danger---by (D) far,
There is gorgeous undergrowth below the tree (A) crowns
So (D) quiet and beautiful, you (G) forget where you (D) are
Soak in the majesty briefly, (A) then move on, without a (D) sound

To cruise these giant (G) timbers west of the great (D) divide
Is an experience that few have (A) known
The (D) beginning of man and (G) nature (D) collide
I hold in awe... what (A) God has (D) sown
