Mostly in buggies, but a few (A) in old cars
He (D) would candle (G) the country fresh (D) eggs
To make sure they were up to (A) par

My (D) Uncle Spic, he (G) was the (D) butcher
He learned his trade while in the (A) navy
White (D) garrison cap and (G) clean white (D) apron
He (D)could handle the (A) knife, and I dont mean (D) maybe
There was big (G) wooden ice (D) box
That kept the milk, cream and butter (A) cool
On (D) the far side of the (G) store were the shoes and (D) sox
You served yourself, honor (A) code was the (D) rule
Old Guy Hathorn (G) was a happy (D) man
He took care of clothes, produce fillin our (A) needs
Thinking (D) back, we were all (G) great (D) fans
A man you could count (A) on, (D) indeed.
