Sat straight up in the seat like a bird in (D) flight

(D) Quarter-mile, or half-mile, both the same
(A) Straight like tracks made for a (D)train
Best in the County, he proudly (A) knew
 Line of sight, they faded into the  (D) blue

He layed out his life, just like those lines
(A) Do it right the first time, (D) wont you?
Keep things straight in your life, (A) dont you?
