(INTRO)
D G* F* D

(CHORUS)
D
I feel no shame

I'm proud of where I came from
               G* F* D
I was born and raised in the boondocks
D
One thing I know

No matter where I go
                    G* F* D
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks

(VERSE ONE)
          Am7 D
And I can feel that muddy water running through my veins
          Am7 D
And I can hear that lullaby of a midnight rain
   C/D G/D D
It sings to me and it sounds familiar

(Repeat CHORUS)

(VERSE TWO)
          Am7 D
And I can taste that honeysuckle and it's still so sweet
        Am7 D
When it grows wild on the banks down at Old Camp Creek
             C/D G/D D
Yeah, and it calls to me like a warm wind blowing

(Repeat CHORUS)

(BRIDGE)
C/G D
It's where I learned about living
C/G D
It's where I learned about love
C/G D
It's where I learned about working hard
    C/D G/D D
And having a little was just enough
C/G D
It's where I learned about Jesus
C/G D
And knowing where I stand
C/G D C/D
You can take it or leave it, this is me
C/D G/D D
This is who I am

(BREAK) repeat INTRO

(PRE-CHORUS)
          Am7
Give me a tin roof
                           D
A front porch and a gravel road
           C/D
And that's home to me
              G/D
It feels like home to me

(Repeat CHORUS)

(Transition to outro)
D G* F* D
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks

(OUTRO)

Thanks for the kind words. Everybody should be sure to check out LBT's other Studio 330 session videos on CMT.com. I have tabbed all four.
LBT's vocal harmonies really come through well in the stripped-down format that is the hallmark of the Studio 330 sessions.

Thanks for tabbing a great song. The studio video is a huge help too.

Welcome to the website, jbravo1969. I agree about the studio 330 video being a big help. If it wasn't for the studio video, I would probably still be working on this tab, LOL.
