Little Big Town - Boondocks
By: Marshall Rasnick (bighitta06 at aol.com)
************************************************************

I love this song, and I know I tabbed it somewhat correct. The Cadd9 chords
might be off, but they sound really close to me. C chords can take their place
if thats what you think it should be. I'd love some feed back, positive and
negative. Keep it country!!

************************************************************

+++ Capo 2nd fret +++

(Chorus):

D
I feel no shame
D
I'm proud of where I came from
       C G D
I was born and raised in the boondocks
D
One thing I know
D
No matter where I go
           C G D
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks

(Verse)

           Cadd9
And I can feel
       G D
That muddy water running through my veins
          Cadd9 G D
And I can hear that lullaby of a midnight train
Cadd9 G
It sings to me and it sounds familiar

(Repeat Chorus)

          Cadd9
And I can taste
       G D
That honeysuckle and it's still so sweet
        Cadd9
When it grows wild
G D
On the banks down at old camp creek
             Cadd9 G
Yeah, and it calls to me like a warm wind blowing

(Repeat Chorus)

(Bridge)

G D
It's where I learned about living
G D
It's where I learned about love
G D
It's where I learned about working hard
         C (walk up to) G
And having a little was just enough
G D
It's where I learned about Jesus
G D
And knowing where I stand
G D C
You can take it or leave it, this is me
G D
This is who I am

(Solo) D - D - C - G - D

(Pre-chorus)

           C (strum once around tin)
Give me a tin roof
   G (once) D (once)
A front porch and a gravel road
            C (once)
And that's home to me
               G (once)
It feels like home to me

(Repeat Chorus)

           C G
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks

Hey! Thanks. I love this song, i saw them in concert a few weeks ago and they came out and signed autographs. This is one of their best songs. It sounds good. And the Cadd9s sound right!!!

J-MR, Are you working from the fully orchestrated version on the radio
or the CMT Studio 330 acoustic version? The Studio 330 version on CMT.com is performed in D tuning.

Good job on this. I tabbed it out and have been playing it a bit differently. I sent you an email to see what you think about it. Let me know your thoughts.
