Airstream Song
Written by Miranda Lambert by Natalie Hemby
Recorded by Miranda Lambert
(Capo on 4)
Intro.: | (G) | (Cadd9) | x 2
Some-(G)times I wish I lived in airstream homemade curtains
Lived just like a gypsy
(Cadd9)Break your heart, roll out of town (G)
'Cause (D)gypsies never (C)get tied (G)down
Some-(G)times I wish I lived on a mountain
Drank from a stream instead of a fountain
(Cadd9)I'd stay there, top of the world (G)
But (D)I was born a (C)red dirt (G)girl
(Chorus 1)
Un-(Cadd9)bridled or tethered in tide
The (Em)safety of the fence or the danger of the ride
I'll (Cadd9)always be unsatisfied (D)
Some-(G)times I wish I lived by a pier
In a lighthouse with a chandelier
I'd (Cadd9)watch everybody's ships come in (G)
And (D)then I'd sail a-(C)way with (G)them
(Chorus 2)
Un-(Cadd9)anchored in the storm
Or (Em)safely on the shore
If (Cadd9)this is all I need, why do I want more (D)
Inst.: | (Cadd9) | (Cadd9) | (Em) | (Em) |
| (Cadd9) | (Cadd9) | (D) | (D) ---
Some-(G)times I wish I lived in an airstream homemade curtains
Lived (Cadd9)just like a (G)gypsy

Hi - good tab. I just tried substituting the C for a Cadd9. I think that sounds better - what do you think? Also, you need to fix up the chords in the second chorus... Thanks again! -heli_chick_au | 1/4/2010 | Thanks a lot for you suggestions. You sure got good ears. Listening the song again, I did certainly hear a 9th not on every subdominant chord. I corrected my work on the site, Thanks. -Koichi Kondo | 1/5/2010 |
