good tab - bad song -WildCard76 | 11/3/2004 |
WildCard76, I am curious what you mean by "bad song". Please elaborate. -crcrcrcr | 11/3/2004 |
Im curious, if you think its a bad song, why are u looking at the tab anyways? -rebelracer212 | 11/3/2004 |
i agree, why would you look at this tab without liking the song. And this song is pretty cool in my opinion. -lancejoker | 11/4/2004 |
I would like to suggest some minor additions. In the chorus, the two phrases "gets to shine" and "run like hell" sound good if you use the sequence D-E-A , fingered X00232 - X06454 - 577655. Then any Asus4 you want to transition to is easily played 577755 whenever you find it preferable to be playing an A as 577655. Additionally, I find that the barre chord versions of E, G, and A (779997,355433, and 577655) sound good in the choruses. Finally, I have noticed that in the first chorus, the phrasing on the recording is: "So we treat our love----" and in subsequent choruses: "So you treat your love----". -crcrcrcr | 11/7/2004 |
Thanks for pointing out some things. I now listen and the song does go D E A in the chorus and I also hear that it goes more like a,asus4,a,asus2 while strumming the A chords in the song. I made other changes also. -rebelracer212 | 11/7/2004 |
Alright, kinda new at this. What does this strumming "asus", etc. stuff mean??? -fallenhurlder03 | 12/9/2004 |
This is for fallenhurlder03. I think what rebelracer212 is describing is playing several of the chords as constantly changing chord progressions. For example, when you see the A chord in the tab, you actually play A, Asus4, A, Asus2, A. The only thing that changes in this progression is where your ring finger is located on the B (second) string. Another way to describe this progression would be: 002220, 002230, 002220, 002200, 002220. If you listen to the recording (I think it is still playing on CMT.com), it should become clear. -crcrcrcr | 12/27/2004 |
Miranda does not write bad songs! They all have at least a little magic! -godspeede | 1/3/2005 |
I think miranda is an amazing muscician and singer. even if she did suck (witch she doestn) it would mattter cuz her looks make up for everything else lol all i have to say is shes a big influence to me and many -sumtingwong | 1/12/2005 |
Wildcard76....WTF...good tab, bad song??? Good song AND good tab! As a life long "Rocker" recently converted to country music, I gotta disagree man! I rarely hear a bad country song anymore. Aside from that, she's got a record deal...watchu got dude besides an attitude? -michael7276 | 2/2/2005 |
how do i get the strum? -lovemycountry | 2/4/2005 |
This comment is for lovemycountry. The easiest way to get the strumming pattern is to play along with the recording. Once you have mastered the strumming of the A to Asus4 to A to Asus2 chord progression (see my previous comment above, dated 12/27/2004), the other progressions will come easily. -crcrcrcr | 3/5/2005 |
In the chorus when it says "that's just me and charlie talkin" the chords should be: G D E Me and Charlie -guitarchic500 | 3/29/2005 |
Great tab. I'm just discovering Miranda.. I actually stumbled upon her, because my drum teacher is her drummer.. I think she is a great singer, and a great artist. You did a good job tabbing this out, I think it sounds very much like the actual song! -Slicks78 | 6/1/2005 |
WOW...ya'll confussed me ...LOTS..my friend and I are playing this song for a talent show I like it lots..:P but yeah we only have the Free membership and we need to print these tabs so we can practice..=| so anyway someone could e-mail them to me ? -charityann | 7/12/2005 |
your email is set to private -rebelracer212 | 7/14/2005 |
Could you or someone else show us how to alternate the chords? That would be nice, so we all wouldn't have to figure out the chord progressions by listening...which is why I use other people's tabs in the first place. To the person that wanted the tab emailed to them...if you're a free member, just copy and paste the tab into notepad. It works perfectly. -mvc11_11 | 10/31/2005 |
Actually, I take back my last comment. I'm a beginner, and this seemed more difficult than it is. The tab and some of the comments explain it pretty well, and it sounds good...now that I've actually tried it. -mvc11_11 | 11/1/2005 |
