learn how to play guitar man

-dakata | 7/19/2005
I think that you're trying to combine two parts with the intro. One's muted and ones clear and crisp. It might just be me but it sounds like two totally different guitars. I could be wrong, but I think if you combine the muted power chords with just a single string lead, it might sound more accurate. And just a suggestion but I matched it with this.

-------------------------------------------
----5-7/9-9\7-7\5-5---------------4-5-5----
--6-----------------6\4-4---6---6----------
6-------------------------6---6------------
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------

--------------------
------5-7-7/9-9\----
--6--------------/9-
6---6---------------
--------------------
--------------------

Then the second time it's pretty much the same, except for the last part, which when you slide to the 9, you just hit 7 then 5. This is the closest I've gotten to the real thing so far, it still sounds a little different than what I'm playing to me, but I haven't really sat down to figure it out. I can if someone needs it. But hopefully I think this sounds a little closer, could be just me though.

He does play both at the same time, well live anyway.

Haven't seen him play it live, but I agree. I'm pretty sure it's all one part. He's quite the crosspicker!

Yup, it's all one part, check out vh1's performance of it, vh1.com
