This tab took hundreds of times listening to the song and watching tapes of live performances.
I played mandolin with three friends of mine for our school's talent show. If anybody wants
the violin solo tabbed out for mandolin, just e-mail me, I haven't made it in tab form yet.
The other tabs are generally right, but they oversimplify the song a bit. It's more complex
than it sounds. The other mandolin tab (by Focusdude) of this song is fairly accurate, so go
there for the rest of that (especially the mandolin outro), I didn't want to rip that stuff off.
And some people were saying that the open E and B strings weren't right in other tabs, but
believe me, they are. I got a chance to talk to Sean Watkins after their concert in Minneapolis,
and we shortly discussed this song. He isn't using barre chords, and that's why the guitar part
sounds so neutral and light, because there's that constant familiarity of the top two open
strings.

It's already been said, but I feel I have to join in. Very good job
on this tab, shows much talent and respect for the original song.
Well done.

Hey, thanks alot for doing this song! I am a huge Nickel Creek fan and really appreciate being able to get tabs of their stuff. Great job

Yeah, out of all the tabs on here, this one is it. I was able to follow the song much easier using the tab. Thanks.

This tab is beautiful, I must say, my only correction would be that Sean doesn't play 244200 for the F#m, he plays 2x2200 and doesn't use his thumb. Technically an F#m7add2...I guess. Oh yeah, x68800 is D#6b2...techically...I guess.

My former guitar instructor would slap me in the head if he saw my thumb touching the strings.

im not so sure about the guitar fill before the last verse. i think it's more like

0 0 0 0 0 0
4/5 5 4 2p0
-------------1
on the ebg strings, although the last g# isn't really needed since that part is harder to hear anyway and most people wouldn't notice if you left it out.

Just watched them on AOL Sessions (link to it on nickelcreek.com) and this tab is right on. I had been playing it with "open barre" chords beginning on the 6th string rather than the 5th, and realized my mistake. I was going to tab it out, but saw that someone had already done it perfectly. Good job!
