Drove Three hundred Miles

(C) Sitting by the phone drinking coffee all alone
(G) Searching my computer wondering what’s going on
(C) I saw her pretty smile on match.com
(G) She was look-in mighty fine and I was coming undone
(C) We typed messages back and forth
(G) Talked about love and getting divorced

(C) I liked her, (G) she liked me
(C) We both like to eat and (G) watch TV
(C) She had a little boy, (G) he was three
(C) Her hair was blonde and (G) her eyes were green

(C) Our profiles matched and our chemistry clicked
(G) We could go hiking and have picnics
(C) Take long walks and reminisce
(G) She was independent and (D) confi(G) dent

(C) I thought she had a pretty smile, (G) So I got in my truck 
And (D) drove (C) three hundred (G) miles

(G) I knocked on the door, couldn’t believe what I saw
(C) She was big, curvy, and tall
(G) She had hands like a basketball star

(G) My first thought was to run and hide
(C) On second thought, I (D) knew (C) I might (G) die

(G) She hugged me tight and squeezed the breath out of me
(C) I thought a bear had a death grip on me
(G) She had cookies and kooool aide
(C)Rented enough movies to last all day

(G) The picture from the internet was as old as me
(C)I had no recourse cause she wouldn’t let me leave
(G) I was afraid she bend me over her knee
(C) Or chase me up a tall oak tree

I finally made it back to my truck
And I drove three hundred miles

I finally got back home safe and sound
It was so quite you could hear a mouse

Got on my computer to see what was goin down
I notice I had a message and wink
It was her, and she was missing me
I gave it some thought and grabbed my bag

Then I got in my truck and drove thee hundred miles

With the price of gas going skkkkky high
I think I’ll just get my stuff and say goodbye
