For the intro riff with the fiddle,
try mixing in the Cmaj7 chord with
C or Cadd9 (If you are using a regular
C its essentially a hammer with the
index finger . . . for a Cadd9 just
hammer the fingers on the B and E
strings)
And for the part of the verse:
"she took her heart and a string . . . "
a Cadd9 works but try an Am.
And I believe your G(?) is a Gsus2.
