Run To Me - Paul Brandt
Album: This Time Around
Writers: Paul Brandt/Deric Ruttan

**Capo One** (then remove before bridge...see note)

Intro: Bm7+ G Bm7 G (x2)

             D D9
When you're all alone in the dark
                     G
And it's hard not to be afraid
           D D9
When your candle's losing it's spark
                             G
And it seems that you can't find your way
Bm7 G
Look straight ahead, don't cry and don't look back
Bm7 G A
Leave your regrets behind you in the past

Chorus:
D A Bm7 G
Run to me, I will always be
     D D/C# D/B A
The hand you can hold when you're lonely and cold
        G Asus4
I will warm you I adore you
              D A Bm7 G
You're always in my heart, no matter where you are
          Em7 D/F# G A Bm7+
When it's love you need, baby you can run to me

Bm7+ G (x2)

D D9
Nothing you ever say
                      G
And nothing you could ever do
D D9
Is gonna change the way
                     G
That I'll always be loving you
Bm7 G
I'll be your sky, I'll be a soft place to fall
Bm7 G A
Baby this love is unconditional

Chorus 2:
D A Bm7 G
Run to me, I will always be
     D D/C# D/B A
The hand you can hold when you're lonely and cold
        G Asus4
I will warm you I adore you
              D A Bm7 G
You're always in my heart, no matter where you are
          Em7 D/F# G A D
When it's love you need, baby you can run to me

D A F# G#

(This song has a strange key change, the best way
to play it is to take the capo off here and continue
with these chords)

Bm G
And when it's midnight on a winding road
        Bm G
And you don't know where you are or where to go
            Em D/F#
Through the rain, call my name
           G A
And I will run to you

Chorus 3:
D A Bm7 G
Run to me, I will always be
     D D/C# D/B A
The hand you can hold when you're lonely and cold
        G Asus4
I will warm you I adore you
              D A Bm7 G
You're always in my heart, no matter where you are
          Em7 D/F# G D/F#
When it's love you need, come to me
G A D A Bm7 G D

is there at all any way to figure out what the chords are for the bridge w/o having to take off the capo?

Sounds Great. There still has to be a better way of playing this song. He can't be doing that on the bridge. So if anybody can figure something else out that would be great!

Ok if you don't want to use the "capo off" method you'll have to transpose the chords because of the weird key change...which will make it a lot harder but I posted the chords you can play (if you leave the capo on). If you played the whole song with no capo then the first part would be harder, there's no way to avoid weird chords when the key changes like that. But I added a chord chart for that part if you want to play it that way.
