Route 3 Box 250 D
Randy Houser

C
I'd like to say it was perfect
C
Growing up was a fairytale
C
But Hollywood don't make no movies
                                    F C
About a house up on wheels... down a dirt road, Mississippi
       G F C
Tucked back in the trees Route 3 Box 250 D

C
Well the man my mama married
C
Had a mean streak in his blood
C
And when he took to drinking

He'd take it out on us
            F
And I could hear my mama crying
             C F C
That made it hard to sleep Route 3 Box 250 D

F C
That's where I became a man, Long before my time
    F
And since I left I ain't been back
                    G
But I go back in my mind

C
Thank God for Buford Bailey
C
He had a pond he'd let me fish
C
That's where I'd run off to, every chance I'd get
            F
And I would pray that God was listening
                     C F C
And He'd come rescue me Route 3 Box 250 D

F
Then one day, my uncle pulled up, in a pickup truck
          C
Loaded up everything
C G
Wasn't much, but it was everything

C
I'd like to say it was perfect
C
Growing up was a fairytale
C
But Hollywood don't make no movies
                                    F C
About a house up on wheels... down a dirt road, Mississippi
                G F C
But that's what made me leave Route 3 Box 250 D

This works with a Capo 2; playing it open it's' in D. Some of the chords are off, but overall people can get the gist. Nice job. This is a very personal song. Kudos for Randy singing what's in his heart. Good, bad, or ugly. He's making Mississippi proud. Unfortunately, this song is very relatable to my childhood.
