Randy Rogers Band “This Time Around”

Written by RR and Cody Canada

CAPO 2

G D Em C G D Em C

G D
I used to be crazy, yeah they called me a fool
Em C
I guess I wasn’t myself, back when I wanted you
G D
I see you comin’ round again, that same look in your eyes
Em C
I’d have to be crazy, to fall again for your lies

Chorus
Bm C G D
I’m gonna break these chains around my broken heart
Bm C G D
You could have had it once but you tore it all apart
C C/B Am7 G
I’m gonna throw your lying eyes over my left shoulder
C C/B D C/G D/F# G
Not gonna let you wear your crown, this time around

G D Em C
G D
No, I can’t stay a little longer, I gotta be on my way
Em C
I’ve heard a thousand times, everything you have to say
G D
I’ll show myself to the door and I’ll turn out your light
Em C
I’ll get in my car, you’ll be alone again tonight

Chorus
Bm C G D
I’m gonna break these chains around my broken heart
Bm C G D
You could have had it once but you tore it all apart
C C/B Am7 G
I’m gonna throw your lying eyes over my left shoulder
C C/B D C/G D/F# Em
Not gonna let you wear your crown, this time around
Em D
Never thought I’d be so cold, what’d you expect me to do
Em C
Can’t put it all on hold, I learned it all from you

G D Em C x2

Repeat chorus
C C/B D C/G D G
Not gonna let you wear your crown, this time around

G D Em C x2

He doesnt play this w/ a capo on 2. There is no capo..and he plays alot of power cords. Ive seen him 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Twice in acoustic which he plays this song. I dont know the tabs to it. I just know he doesnt use a capo.

Hey, does anybody know where I can find the chords and notes for the violin in the background for this song? in fact, a good place to find any tab for any song?

How is it that CCRagweed and RR have similar songs? Haven't learned much about the band so I wondered if they shared artists???
-flintoid | 11/28/2005
Randy Rogers and Cody Canada wrote the song together. Therefore it is on both of the artists albums.

Yes, the song is recorded in the key of A. For various reasons, (including walkdowns) I decided to tab the song in G capo 2. In concert the song may be played using the key of A chords, or it could be played in G.

its played with no capo cords are A E F/m D and the chorus is (the c chord that is played on the fourth fret i think they call it a C/m# or something like that im going to call it C/m4) So the chorus starts C/m4, D A and E, then it repeated for the second ine of the chorus C/m4, D, A, E third line is D, A, Bm, A then finally the last line is played D,A,E,D,E,A. then the song starts over A,E,F/m,D
I know its alot to figure out u might want to right it down and then sing and play it out. but im a 100% sure thats right

Hey guys, I was wondering what is the strum pattern for this song. I am a beginner at guitar and can't tell the strum pattern just by listening to the song. Thanks for y'all's help.
