    ***CAPO 1st FRET***

Inrto - Dm - C - Dm - F - C

(verse 1)
           Dm C
Starin' at you takin' off your makeup,
          Dm F C
Wondering why you even put it on,
                     Dm C
I know you think you do but baby you don't need it,
                     Dm F C
Wish that you could see what I see it when it's gone,

(chorus)
        Bb F
I see a dust trail following an old red Nova,
 C Dm - F
Baby blue eyes, your head on my shoulder,
       C
Wait, baby don't move, right here it is,
   Bb F
A T-shirt hanging off Dogwood Branch,
      C
That river was cold but we gave love a chance,
Dm F
Yeah, yeah for me,
Fmaj7
You don't look a day over Fast Cars and Freedom,
                                      Dm - C - Dm - F - C
That that sunset riverbank first time feeling,

(verse 2)
Yeah, smile and shake your head as if you don't believe me,
I'll just sit right here and let you take me back,
I'm on that gravel road, look at me,
On my way to pick you up, you're standing on the front porch,
Looking just like that, remember that,

(chorus)
        Bb F
I see a dust trail following an old red Nova,
 C Dm - F
Baby blue eyes, your head on my shoulder,
       C
Wait, baby don't move, right here it is,
   Bb F
A T-shirt hanging off Dogwood Branch,
      C
That river was cold but we gave love a chance,
Dm F
Yeah, yeah for me,
Fmaj7
You don't look a day over Fast Cars and Freedom,
                                      Bb F - C
That that sunset riverbank first time feeling, Yeah

(lead - Bb - F - C )

(chorus)
        Bb F
I see a dust trail following an old red Nova,
C (NO------------------ Chords ) Dm - F
Baby blue eyes, your head on my shoulder,
Fmaj7
You don't look a day over Fast Cars and Freedom,
                                      Dm - C - Dm - F - C
That that sunset riverbank first time feeling,

Outr0 - Dm - C - Dm - F - C (add lib)

I think the lyric is "that sunset river-BANK, first time feeling"

What a great song!
-derekseed | 4/27/2005
how do you make a Fmaj7 when using a capo for this song? any help would be great!
-matto6900 | 5/23/2005
Couple of small things:

The guitar solo that begins before the completion of the chorus which is actually "sunset river bank first time feeling" begins with C, then Dm-C-Dm-F-C.

Good Job on the Tab.

pal,

two additional lyric corrections/editsin the chorus:

1. "wait baby don't move (not moved)

2. "T-shirt hanging off "a" Dogwood "branch". Rhymes with "chance" in the next line.

thanks.

you might want to re-check....the chords for the solo I have are correct....don't know what you are doing maybe your fingering but it's def...the Bb / F/ C...

thanks for the lyrical correction gang...I usually have these songs charted out before they are released to the general public which means I don't have the liner notes and have to rely on my ear for the lyrics....but as long as the chord structure is acurate you all can get the rest;) thanks a bunch!!!!

Great job Palamino. I think its river bank but I'm not positive. You know...ppl may not like Rascal Flatts because sometimes they are a little too "pop" but this is a great song and a nice tab. Good job, like always.
-mystikal1116 | 6/12/2005
good job on the chords it is a great song
-peaceallover | 6/27/2005
you could play this song with the capo on 4, and the chords would be Bm A Bm D A (verse) and so on...for the less experienced, this would be easier...but great job as always palamino...
-ermapoop | 7/6/2005
I think he's saying "that sunset riverbank first time feeling"
-Zildjian12300 | 7/10/2005
ooops! (didn't check the comments section first).....sorry
-Zildjian12300 | 7/10/2005
first of all unless you have you're testicles removed you can't sing this high. On acoustic guitar this sounds horible. Why not just play it in Am and capo it to wher you're voice fits.
If you can sing that high it would I think it's the 7th fret. it's still better than a Bf off a capoed 1st fret(chorus)
-stewartbr | 9/14/2005
Guys.... I really think you will find that these charts work better and are easier to read (and copy on a printer) if you imbed the chord symbol in the line of lyric text like this:

"STARIN' AT YOU (Dm)
TAKIN' OFF YOUR MAKEUP(C) ..."

this format works a 1000 times better... you don't have to dart your eyes back and forth from line to line ....etc. try it.

-georgeb1954 | 11/16/2005
personal preference....I like it the way I do it....sorry..
You can always copy and paste and embed them yourself to print...I've done the easy part for ya....
-palamin0 | 12/18/2005
whats the fingering for an Fmaj7 ?

Nice tab by the way.
