many (D)shell over the top of an ol bird (G)dog and it 

backed a burglar down when grandma (C)took the safety off

its just a double barrel 12 the (C)stock is cracked and it kicks like (D)hell

 it wouldnt mean what it (C)means to me to no (D)one 

(G)i can hear his voice when i put it to my (C)shoulder "a guns like a woman 

son its (D)all how ya hold her" it taught me a whole 

lot more than how to (G)hunt and one of these days ill (C)pass it on to my (D)son

box of (D)shells and a kit to keep it (G)clean
