Gorgeous by Rodger Wilko

All of Rodger Wilko's CD's can be downloaded at www.ourtracks.com

This is a repost of a tab I submitted prior to the crash.

The G(h) (I don't know what to really call it) is a G
played by "hammering" on the third string with the first finger
on the second fret. You can hear it in the song clearly.
The third finger never leaves the 3rd fret of the 2nd string
through the whole song.

Intro

G(h) Em7 D G 2X

G(h) Em7 D
So gorgeous, the way she looks at me

G(h) Em7 D
She used to ride horses, I wish I could have seen

G(h) Em7 D
So gorgeous, the way she talks to me

G(h) Em7 D
In a southern accent that's so hard to meet

Cadd9 G
Given the chance I'd surely hang on every word

Cadd9 G
Ride on the range on horseback next to her

Cadd9 G Em7
Wishing things would go right even when they don't

Cadd9 D G(h)
Oh how I hate to let this one go

G(h) Em7 D
So lovely, she would have to be

G(h) Em7 D
An angel straight from above

G(h) Em7 D
So lovely, she's already shoved me

G(h) Em7 D
I'm in too deep and now I'm falling in, falling in love

Cadd9 G
And if she were mine to have and to hold

Cadd9 G
The book we'd write would never ever close

Cadd9 G Em7
But I'm back on track and down this lonesome road

Cadd9 D G(h)
Damn I hate to let this one go

Solo

G(h) Em7 D
So lucky he would have to be

G(h) Em7 D
Whoever it is that fate lets in

G(h) Em7 D
to look in her eyes every night

G(h) Em7 D
You know he's got the greatest gift

Cadd9 G
No more watching her watching me

Cadd9 G
The rainy late nights when I'd hold her so tightly

Cadd9 G Em7
But I'm back on track and down this lonesome road

Cadd9 D G
Damn I hate to let this one go

Please don't go
