Ryan Bingham — Dylan's Hard Rain

Please feel free to criticize any of this as it is my first try at this! Anything
helpful is welcome.

When in "C", Hammer on "D" string, 3rd fret with pinky, just listen to the rhythm
and you can figure it out. ( I think )

C
I'm a homeless man with my thumb in the wind
C
I sure miss my kin but then again,
G C
I'm on the road with a song for you.

C
I took a step, I lost a bet,
C
They cut off my tongue now they're full of regret,
G C
Careful what you say if they ain't gonna listen anyway.

C
Just make the cash, bet on the past,
C
Everybody's so afraid to be last,
Am7 G C
You can't take back everything you leave behind.

Chorus:

G C Am7 C G
Cause everybody so ashamed, for letting it all slide.
G C Am7 C G G
Cause everybody so afraid, Mr. Dylan's hard rain was fair warning.

C
On a shake down in the alley,
C
Breaking people's faces gonna start you up a rally,
Am
I've never seen a day in the sun with a gun,
G C
That's loaded for you.

C
There's some hippies, in the back room,
C
Rockin' and a rollin' and a smoking to an old tune,
Am7 G C
Who took a guitar and a match, and set peace on fire.

C
Hey my brother, what is wrong,
C
You lost all your money on the corner rollin' bones,
Am7 G C
Give him your cash motherf**ker, he's too fast for you.

Chorus:

G C Am7 C
Cause everybody so ashamed, for letting it all slide.
G C Am7 C G ? G
Cause everybody so afraid, Mr. Dylan's hard rain was fair warning

C
On the T.V. there's a white man,
C
Too much make up on his wife with god's plan.
Am7 G C
I guess the religious vote, made it to congress.

C
On the border of Tijuana,
C
People are growing truck loads of marijuana,
Am7 G C
Maybe someday are friends can be American farmers.

C
There's a necklace, in the south,
C
A few hopeless people still hanging it around,
Am7 G C
The wind is gonna cut you down, in the long run.

Chorus:

G C Am7 C G
Cause everybody so afraid, for letting it all slide.
G C Am7 C G G
Cause everybody so ashamed, Mr. Dylan's hard rain was fair warning

C
So can we save us, from today,
C
The hands of the wretched are the ones getting paid,
Am7 G C
Everything stays the same, if you don't change it.

C
And all the dreams will bust at the seam,
C
And it will all down in the mighty machine,
Am7 G C
You don't care now, but someday you might need it.

C
I heard the whistle, start a blowin'
C
Then I saw the mountain in the back come a tumblin'
G C
Everybody's wishing they could get out of the way,
Am7 G C
Everybody's wishing they could dig their ass out of the grave.

I play it a bit differently. Alternating C and F through the verse, then to Am step up to G. Thanks for posting.
