A7 = x02020

  ---(capo 1st fret)---

(verse 1)
D G
Been a runnin from these feelings for so long,
 A7 D
Tellin my heart I didn't need you,
                  G
Pretendin I was better off alone,
       D
But I know that it's just a lie,

(bridge)
Bm Em7
So afraid to take a chance again,
     G A
So afraid of what I feel inside,

(chorus)
                  D G A
But I need to be next to you, (need to be next to you, hoh, hoh)
                       D G A
I need to share every breath with you, (share every breath with you, ho, oh)
                         Bm
I need you to know I can see your smile each mornin,
       G Em7
Look into you eyes each night, for the rest of my life,
G Bm A
Here with you, near with you, a while,
                      D - G - A
I need to be next to you,

(verse 2)
D G
Right here with you is where I belong,
A7 D
I lose my mind if I can't see you,
                       G
Without you there is nothin in this life,
            D Bm
That would make my life worth livin for,

(bridge)
Bm Em7
Can't bare the thought of you not there,
         G A
I can't fight what I feel anymore,

(chorus)
                  D G A
But I need to be next to you, (need to be next to you, hoh, hoh)
                       D G A
I need to share every breath with you, (share every breath with you, ho, oh)
                         Bm
I need you to know I can see your smile each mornin,
       G Em7
Look into you eyes each night, for the rest of my life,
G Bm A
Here with you, near with you, a while,

If anyone is interested in the facts, this
song was written by Diane Warren (ASCAP)
and is sung by Sara Evans with permission
on "Restless", her latest CD.
-crcrcrcr | 9/17/2003
Leigh Nash released the song before Sara Evans put it on her Restless album. I believe Leigh's version is on the Bounce soundtrack.
-cuchicy | 8/19/2004
