         G D G
1.Well I pulled out of Pittsburgh rollin down the eastern seaboard

            G D
I've got my diesel wound up and she's runnin like a never before
          C D G C
There's a speed zone ahead but alright, I don't see a cop in sight
    G D G
Six days on the road and I'm a gonna make it home tonight

2.I got ten forward gears and a Georgia overdrive
I'm passin little white lines and my eyes are open wide
Just passed a Jimmy and a White, I've passin everything in sight
Six days on the road the road and I'm a gonna make it home tonight

3.Well it seems like a month since I kissed my baby goodbye
I could have a lot women but I'm not like some other guys
I could find one hold me tight,
But I could never make believe it's right
Six days on the road and I'm a gonna make it home tonight

4.Well the ICC is a checkin on down the line
I'm a little over weight and my log books are way behind
But nothin bothers me tonight, I can dodge all the scales alright
Six days on the road and I'm a gonna make it home tonight

5.My rigs a little old but that don't mean she's slow
There's a flame from her stack and the smoke is rollin black as cool
My home town's comin in sight, if you think I'm happy you're right
Six days on the road and I'm a gonna make it home tonight

    G D G
Six days on the road and I'm a gonna make it home tonight
    G(one down stroke)
Six days on the road and
      D(one down stroke) G
I'm a gonna make it home tonight

Hey what's with the remarks?
This isa pretty accurate, however it needs to be capo'd to be in key.

Lighten up guys and be respectfull!
Nice job Korry.

I played through it just now and it sounds about
perfect. Nice work, Korry.

well yeah telecaster, but it's the same thing in a different key, personally I always change keys so my voice fits the song

How do they get that deep bassy guitar tone for the sliding chord parts during the verses? Is that a baritone guitar they're using?
