A
Midnight and I'm feeling alright
F#m
But my baby is tired
E
We drove down to a party in town
D E
And I should of known I was gonna drink too hard
A
The windy road when I'm driving it home
F#m
Each and every turn
E
I've had enough of the way I was
D E
Seems like by now it’s time to learn
Chorus:
Bm A E
The wa-a-a-a-a-y
A F#m D7
I-I-I-I-I-I I lost the way
A F#m D7
I-I-I-I-I-I I lost the way
The back porch where we first kissed
is where we said so long
I headed out to find what it is
that makes a man want to come back home
The windy road when I'm driving it home
Each and every turn
I've had enough of the way I was
Seems like by now its time to learn
Chorus
D A
Ooooh I lost the way
Harmonica solo
The West is right and the East is left
When you're headed South
The sun will rise and the sun will set another day
Another chance to figure out
The windy road when you're driving it home
Each and every turn
I've had enough of the way I was
Seems like by now its time to learn
Chorus
Bm A E
The wa-a-a-a-a-y
A F#m D
I-I-I-I-I-I I found a way
A F#m D
I-I-I-I-I-I I found a way
D A
Ooooh I found a way

never heard this song...may never...but badass written....amen -agentorange | 3/11/2004 | It's a shame to have never heard such a great song...I bought the cd, if you want to hear it to learn how to play it, let me know, I'll email you an .mp3.
Larry, you pregnant dog :D lol I was gonna tab this one...it's on my list, I just haven't gotten to it yet. LoL I LOVE this song, and you did a good job on it...a couple of issues I have with it,though...the biggest of which is that there is no capo used in the song (The song's not in Bb, it's in A)...I just tuned my guitar with my tuner and played along with his album, and it's definitely in A, not Bb. Also, your guitar might be accidentally tuned down (not intentionally, more like decay tune, you know, when it sits for a while and the strings stretch (I know you know what I'm talkin about but a lot of people who might read this might not) and it slowly goes out of tune, even if it stays relatively in tune within itself (meaning it doesn't sound like poo (I can't believe I said it...lol) when you play it). Either way, the song is in A...not to be a pain...also, in the choruses of the song, the "D's" work, but Scott Miller plays D7...it actually makes a big difference in the sound and the tone (not flat or sharp tone, but the mood) of the song (it sounds more uncertain, which I think might be why he picked it...love o ask him though...). Anyways, great job on a great tab of a great song! I'll rate it once those two little bitty things are fixed, and you can bet it'll be a ten :) lol I LOVE This song, what a gifted young songwriter! His CD is awesome, too...I bought it at Sundance in San Marcos...lol. Later guys!
-Jason -Smoothie7745 | 3/11/2004 | Hey this is a great song and great job on the chords, I was just curious if anyone knew the picking rythm, I'd love to learn it that way as well. You can email me at jemess21@hotmail.com if someone could help me out, thanks. -jemess21 | 6/4/2005 |
