SOMEWHERE IN THE VICINITY OF THE HEART by SHENANDOAH
(C) A thousand miles of (F) lonesome high(C)way
Drinkin' (G) gallons of (C) coffee in (F) little caf(C)es
Brought me (C) here, it's (F) sure good to (C) find
That there's (G) someone who's (C) got the same (F) story as (G) mine
(Am) Just look at us we're a (G) couple of hard (C) cases
So (Am) how'd we end up where we (F) are
CHORUS: (F) Somewhere (C) in the (G) vicinity of the (Am) hea-----(F)-----(G)----rt
(F) I feel (C) somethin' (G) hittin' me awful (Am) ha-----(F)----(G)----rd
I (F) don't know where it's (Am) gonna lead
But (F) I just know it (Am) starts
(F) Somewhere (C) in the (G) vicinity of the (C) heart
(C) It's been so long, (F) I can't be(C)lieve
I feel (G) something so (C) sweet where an (F) ache used to (C) be
I don't fall in (F) love any(C)more
But I (G) never met (C) someone quite (F) like you be(G)fore
(Am) Stay with me here for a (G) couple more (C) minutes
(Am) I think there's somethin' goin' (F) on - CHORUS
TAG: Well it (G) sure took a while to (F) find it
It's been (G) waitin' here all this (Am) time - CHORUS

The first verse uses these chords capoed at 4. The second verse changes keys when Alison Krauss comes in and I haven't figured that out yet. -spellman | 11/1/2004 | Any time Shenendoah is singing, it is capoed on 4. When Allison sings the second verse, there is no capoing. SO:
1st verse: Capo on 4 2nd verse: No capo Tag and final chorus: Capo on 4
Hope this helps. -pdalbey1 | 12/17/2004 |
