sorry to be a little bit of a stickler, but i talked to clayton landua himself, the lead singer for 6MB and the chord progression for the song is G-Cadd9-D-C

Yes I am aware they are 2 different chords...thanks. I did not mean they are LITERALLY the same thing...but they are generally interchangeable, especially on simple G,C,D songs like this, depending on the player. It's all about preference. Sometimes Cadd9 is easier to newer players who use the G chord that is actually a Gadd9. If the player is using the actual G chord, then C is easier to go to. But still, it doesn't matter, they are close enough to each other that they'll work either way.
