Give this a try. In the versus and chorus its all the same. E,B, (446654)idk what chord that is. A,E,B,E,A,E. Listen to the song and place the chords as they fall. I'm a huge Jim Croce fan, along with a die hard Stoney fan. Give this way a try an see if maybe that sounds a little more accurate.
Thanks PK -phillypay | 6/8/2011 | If you listen to the Stoney Recording of it and watch the YouTube video of him playing it, its definitely right on Que. He also has it capo'd but I have a deeper voice. Never listen to what people write about what key a song is played in. Its what Key you sing the song in most comfortably! Thank you for the response though. -juan aguilera | 6/8/2011 | It didn't make sense until I watched your youtube vid. But after watching that I like the way you play it and it all makes sense. Good tab, great song. -rab05 | 6/9/2011 | try this for verse....C G Am F, and sleeping in this hotel doorway is Am.....Great song, thanks -scooter1972 | 2/10/2013 | Any body know the strumming/picking pattern. I've looked everywhere for it and just can not figure it out! Great youtube video!! -6stringsaway | 7/19/2013 |
