E Ab A B
Listen to the rythm of my boots as I step upon your stairs
E Ab A B
listen to the rythm of my sould as I sit back in your chair
E Ab A B
helplessly I tumble straight from out the sky
       A B
then I realize, oh I realize

Chorus:
E Ab
it would take a steel heart,
A B E
to keep from breaking under the weight of your crystal eyes
Ab A B

E Ab
it would take a steel heart,
A B E
to keep from breakng under the weight of your crystal eyes
Ab A B

late night dance, come sunday morning,
I'm glad I remember my mothers warning
learn how to leave or love will pass you by
leave you sitting on it in the wink of an eye
and I realize, oh I realize

listen to the rythm of my boots as i step back down your stairs
walking home through the alley, whooaah, I still see you everywhere
helplessly I tumble with this pain I cannot describe
then I realize, oh my god I realize

This is actually I really simple song, for the intro strum E then hit the
second fret on the high e, slide up to that Ab, which I believe is Abm, strum
it then hit the fourth fret on the high e and pull off. In the last two
choruses when he says crystal eyes for the last time he goes to a C#m, 446654,
before returning to the original rythym, that is when he hits the high notes,
you'll figure it out. rizzodizzo at hotmail.com

after stoney plays the E & does a hammer on
on the e string. then he rides the base line
like this: e---2s4--------- this is only
b---2s4--------- for the intro
g--------------- and after he
d--------------- says crystal
a--------------- eyes.
E---2s4---------
then instead of an a i'm pretty sure it's
Amaj9 and then instead of b it is bsus4 with
a hammer on the e string 9th fret. try it
and see how it sounds. tell me if it agrees
with you. oh yeah the Ab is correct only
in the verse and chorus.

Pretty good tab. This is a hell of a song.
After I play the E, I'd slide up to to 4th fret and just bar all 6 strings.

Then I play an E chord on the 7th fret and then
on the 9th fret, still hammering on and pulling
off on the high E of those frets.

Great song. I believe the title of it is actually Steel Heart though.

Whatever the song's called, I'm pretty sure the second chord (what was called an Ab) is actually an G#/Ab7, played 464544. It's used in a couple Jimmy Buffett songs, most notably "Lucky Stars". Other than that, you can come up with a pretty close version with the hodge-podge of comments and the like. Just a suggestion. Give it a shot and let me know what you think...

try sliding up to Ab with your thumb- that way you can hammer off with your first finger- i think that might be what he's doin? hope this helps

this tabs ia way off. your best bet is to watch a video or go to a show cause tab this would be to complicated

How about G Bm C D as the progression? Easier to play and sounds right to me.
