Who Says You Can't Go Home
Jon Bon Jovi & Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland

Intro: G C Am C G C Am D

G C
I spent twenty years trying to get out of this place
        Am C
I was lookin' for somethin' I couldn't replace
        G C D
I was runnin' away from the only thing I've ever known

        G C
Like a blind dog without a bone
         Am C
I was a Gypsy lost in the twilight zone
     G C D
I hijacked a rainbow and crashed into a pot of gold

 G C G C
I've been there, done that, I aint lookin' back on the seeds I've sown
       Bm C D
Saving times, spending too much time on the telephone
                      G
Who says you can't go home

  G C
Who says you can't go home
        Am C
There's only one place they call me one of their own
        G C D
Just a hometown boy, born a rolling stone
                       G
Who says you can't go home

G C
Who says you can't go back
    Am C
Been all around the world and as a matter of fact
  G C D
There's only one place left I want to go
                       G
Who says you can't go home
G C
It's all right, It's all right, It's all right, It's all right,
Am C
It's all right, It's all right

G C
I went as far as I could, tried to find a new place
           Am C
There isn't one of these lines that I would erase
        G C D
With a million miles of memories on that road

G C
With every step I take, I know that I'm not alone
           Am C
You take the home from the boy, not the boy from his home
      G C D
These are my streets, the only life I've ever known
                       G
Who says you can't go home

G C
Who says you can't go home
              Am C
There's only one place they call me one of their own
         G C D
Just a hometown boy born, a rolling stone
                       G
Who says you can't go home

G C
Who says you can't go back
          Am C
Been all around the world and as a matter of fact
        G C D
There's only one place left I want to go
                       G
Who says you can't go home
G C Am C G C D

            G C
It doesn't matter where you've been, it doesn't matter where you go
           Am C
If it's a million miles away or a mile up the road
        G C D
Take it in, take it with you when you go
                       G
Who says you can't go home

 G C
Who says you can't go back
          Am C
Been all around the world and as a matter of fact
        G C D
There's only one place left I want to go
                      G C Am C G C Am C G
Who says you can't go home...it's all right, who says...(fade)

Just a note, this song is called 'Who Says You Can't Go Home' and the artist is Bon Jovi with Jennifer Nettles. The other two members of Sugarland have nothing to do with this song.

When he sings "I've been there" the G should be Em.
