INTRO (B)
B
I've been looking at you
Looking at me
B
Bet your thinking that what you get
E
Is what you see
F# B
But underneath this fool exterior
F# B
A raging river flows
F# B
So before you get any nearer
E F#
I better let you know
Chorus
E
I'm an emotional girl
B
I can't help myself
F#
Sometimes I laugh
Sometimes I cry
Sometimes I do both and I don't know why
E
Got a passionate heart
B
And that's just
E
The way things are
F#
You and me could give it a whirl
But I'm warning you boy I'm an emotional girl.
B
I like music that's loud
And lights down low
I like driving my car too fast
E
And dancing slow
F# B
Some folks may say I'm too extreme
F# B
Cause I can't stop once I start
F# B
But I never could do anything
E F#
If half by half
Chorus
I'm an emotional girl
I can't help myself
Sometimes I laugh
Sometimes I cry
Sometimes I do both and I don't know why
Got a passionate heart
And that's just
The way things are
You and me could give it a whirl
But I'm warning you boy I'm an emotional girl.
Chorus
I'm an emotional girl
I can't help myself
Sometimes I laugh
Sometimes I cry
Sometimes I do both and I don't know why
Got a passionate heart
And that's just
The way things are
You and me could give it a whirl
But I'm warning you boy I'm an emotional girl.
Yeah, You and me could give it a whirl
But I'm warning you boy I'm an emotional girl.

A couple corrections in the lyrics:
"But underneath this cool exterior"
and
"I never could do anything With half my heart"
Also, if you don't like bar chords, capo this on the second fret and play A, D, and E. Terri Clark is great! And her music is good too. -tpmadden | 3/12/2009 |
