Postcard From Paris
By The Band Perry
Tabbed By Larry Mofle
7/18/2010

Capo 1

Intro: G D Cadd9 D G D Cadd9 D

    Cadd9 G
I remember when my heart caught the fever
         Cadd9 G
You were standing all alone in the summer heat
              Cadd9 G D
I was with my boyfriend, new boyfriend, he was as sweet as he could be
    Em D
One look at you and I was through, my heart switched up on me

Chorus:
   G D
Like a postcard from Paris
          Cadd9 D
When I've seen the real thing
          G D
It's like finding out your diamond
            Cadd9 D
Is from her old promise ring
     G D
Come back from your fortune teller
              Cadd9 C/B A7
She read your cards upside down
            Cadd9 D G D
The meanest thing you ever did is come around
            Cadd9 D G D Cadd9 D
And now I'm ruined, I'm ruined

       Cadd9 G
In the evening you can catch me daydreaming
         Cadd9 G
Did that moment send you reeling just like me
                 Cadd9 G D
I should've gone over, right over, I should've never let you leave
             Em D
But it's the never knowing that keeps this going and drives me crazy

Chorus:
   G D
Like a postcard from Paris
          Cadd9 D
When I've seen the real thing
          G D
It's like finding out your diamond
            Cadd9 D
Is from her old promise ring
     G D
Come back from your fortune teller
              Cadd9 C/B A7
She read your cards upside down
            Cadd9 D G D
The meanest thing you ever did is come around

Bridge:
Em
Just when I thought things were alright
   Cadd9 A7
My eyes played tricks on my mind
     B
Will I ever be satisfied

'Cause all I ever seem to find

Chorus:
   G D
Is a, a postcard from paris
      Cadd9 D
When I need the real thing
          G D
It's like finding out your diamond
            Cadd9 D
Is from her old promise ring
     G D
Come back from your fortune teller
              Cadd9 C/B A7
She read your cards upside down
            Cadd9 D D
The meanest thing you ever did, the cruelest thing you ever did
            Cadd9 D G D
The meanest thing you ever did, is come around

    Cadd9 D G
I am ruined
D Cadd9
I'm ruined
    Cadd9 D G D
I am ruined
    Cadd9 D
I am ruined

Yeah, yeah

Why is the second verse different from the first? They should be the same and also the final chorus is wrong at the end. Instead of (2) D chords in a row, the second should be an Em

Hmmm - that is odd - will take a listen again at it...
