G D Am
I know our days are heaven sent
G D Am
lord knows I know not where they went
G D Am
shake my head and I wonder how
G D Am
I'll ever get to heaven now
G D Am
An angel came one winter dawn
G D Am
you shoulda seen what she had on
G D Am
wind was whistlin' like its rain
G D Am
she left again just like she came
Chorus
I move around a lot these days
honky tonks and broad freeways
the same thing that I've always done
but I'm older now and I get tired some
Chorus
Those who think they hold the cards
I send out my kind regards
Those who love to those who care
I'll meet you down the road somewhere
Chorus 2X

Actually the chords used in the song and the video are "G" and "Am" - there is no "D" -coffeesucker | 7/12/2010 | It's an implied D not the whole chord, watch his thumb fold over the top of the guitar and hold the F# note, then watch his first finger move down and get the A note on the G string, and then he lifts his pinky on the high E string to play it open. It's a cool trick the sounds great, or you can just play a D chord and it sounds good too, but you need a transition from G to Am for it to sound good, either way works. -deereman82 | 7/13/2010 |
