hey man you got the picking pattern for this? -landry | 8/28/2012 |
Afraid not, sorry. -Koichi Kondo | 8/30/2012 |
This song doesn't need capo from the beginning. I've just deleted the (Capo on 1) indication. If you sing by yourself (solo), the chord (G/B) could be (Bm). If you have a bass player, (G/B) could be played just (G) on guitar(s). -Koichi Kondo | 8/30/2012 |
Awesome! Thank you!!! -wino | 8/30/2012 |
based on this video: http://youtu.be/zxqZL1W4BpE?hd=1 if you play these chords with a capo on the 1st it matches. -baddacaci | 10/2/2012 |
you need a capo on 1 th these chords it sounds like crap without it if you play along with the song you can hear the difference

this song is actually down tuned half a step from standard tuning. not picking on you or anything. just trying to help.

I saw him play this acoustic, that was done a half-step down....great chords though...you seem to have thousands on here...thanks! -JasonMac78 | 10/19/2012 |
Good job with the song. Just one comment. I think there is an F minor in the verse's. Example first verse on the word " crowded" -bogie1519 | 11/4/2012 |
Sorry in fact pretty sure there is an f minor in the chorus also.... -bogie1519 | 11/4/2012 |
Thanks for the suggestions. I corrected the chords in the verses. They should be "(C)crowded (Bm)" instead of "(G/B)crowded" in the first verse, "(C)talkin' (Bm)" in the 2nd., and "(C)good stuff (Bm)" in the 3rd., likewise. But I couldn't still hear (Fm) nowhere. -Koichi Kondo | 11/4/2012 |
Awesome job to an awesome song. I don't hear an Fm either but I do play it Capo 1. Whether its right or wrong, remember Capo is relative to your vocal range as well. Capo 1 matches for me. Like I said kickass job like always. Appreciate your time submitting all the songs you do. -Josh Burnett | 11/16/2012 |
Standard tuning, Capo 1, based on the recorded key
Verse chord progression (same for all):
If [C]I could have a [D]beer with [G]Jesus [C]Heaven knows I'd [D]sip it nice and [G]slow I'd [C]try to pick a [D]place that ain't too [Em7]crowded Or [C]gladly go wherever he wants to [D]go
Chorus chord progression (same for all):
Tell me [G]how'd you turn the [G/B]other cheek [C] [D] To [G]save a sorry [G/B]soul like me [C] [D] Do you [Em7]hear the prayers I send what [Bm]happens when life ends And [Am]when you think you're comin' back [D]again Yeah I'd tell [C]everyone, but [D]no one would be[Em7]lieve[D] [C]it If I could have a [D]beer with [G]Jesus [G/B]|[C][D]
Bridge chord progression:
Now He can [Em7]probably only stay, for [Bm]just a couple rounds But I [Am]hope and pray he'd stay until we [D]shut the whole place down
I've watched several videos of him playing it live, and have seen a few different capo positions. For the whole song, check out the other posting on this site.
