Song:  Over and Over Again

Artist: Nelly Feat. Tim McGraw (or Visa-Versa)

Standard Tuning.

*=harmonic
h=hammer on
p=pull off
b=bend

* Okay, you can either learn the little riff and play it all the way through,
or play the riff then start playing chords during the lyrics, or just start off
at the chords and forget about the riff, either way it sounds like the song I
think. Hope this helps you, the whole song should be there, just email me at
ryancook at uga.edu with any mistakes and ill fix 'em whenever I get a chance.

Oh yea, for those of you who don't know, that * by the notes is a harmonic. To
play this (which im not wonderful at by any means) you very lightly just touch
your finger directly on top of the fret you want to play with your left hand,
then pluck the chord with your right. This should give you a higher than
normal ding sound. This is a harmonic, or at least my version.

Main Riff (Verses and Chorus)

1st Guitar
e|---------------------------------------------------------
B|---------------------------------------------------------
G|--------------------------------------------------------
D|-----------4h5p4---0------------4h5p4---0---------------
A|-------5--------------------5----------------------------
E|---3--------------------3--------------------------------

|----------------------5*--------------------5*------------
|------------5p4-4p0-4-------------5p4-4p0-4---------------

Your right! Man, I knew that it was an E, I don't know why i put a C#. Sorry everyone. The C# in the verse should infact be substituted with an E.

Hey "thegame", have you ever listened to any country music in your life? Honestly, they synthesized Tim's voice to take as much of the country out of it as possible... I think you are out of your element.

I think u should all just shut up and quit complaining. Be happy this site is even here for u to visit. Thank you and this is a good song.

I have mixed emotions about this uniting of talent. I feel that Tim and Nelly are equally talented in their own fields...notice I said their own fields. This song is great, VERY unique too, but somehow I feel that R&B or Hip-Hop, whichever you consider Nelly to be, And country are as different as night and day. It's obviously a marketing scheme to try make money off of two different genres of fans. Dont get me wrong...it WORKED! That's why we're all on this site looking up a Nelly song!
But doesn't it kind of go against Tim's other works... "I miss back when" and other songs where he praises the good old-fashioned country life, without the 'street-talk' slang? Marketing. A two-headed dragon! Something to think about...

-Great song, and thanks for the tabs!

I love the song...never really like Nelly...but I'm a big fan of every kind of music, from metal to rap...but mostly country...and it's nice to see a song with a mix...and it's nice to see a country singer on much music...

good tab, even better song. For all you country fans just watch CMT for five minutes and this song will play twice. It's the number one song in America it has been for 10 weeks. Tell CMT that it isn't counrty and they'll tell where to stick it. Watch the video Tim has Dubs on his Caddy EXT. For you hicks, DUBS are 20 inch wheels, that's called blingin. Caddilacs are country and so is this song. Nice job with the tab man. I'm a mobile disc jockey and every woman I know loves this song too.

Hey moby o9 are you dumb? Every music artist in the business writes songs and performs them for money, it's called their JOB!!!! Who cares if Nelly is in the song. Take a look at the king of country (Garth Brooks) AKA Chris Gaines. Who's favorite band is Pearl Jam and has openly admitted to playing counrty because he said it was easier and he was better at it. Music is music, it doesn't matter what genre, just seeing two musical artists, from two very different worlds, collaborating on a peice of musical genius which by the way is the number one song in America and has been for 10 weeks, is great. Get over your fears of African Americans singing country and just listen to the music, don't just hear it, but LISTEN to it.

I dunno why ya'll are complainin' about what kinda music is better or about marketing. Why don't u guys just be happy that 1. there are artists out there that can write AND preform music that is nice, 2. someone actually took the time to Tab the song for u and 3. that u guys have the talent and ability to play. There are to luvs in my life, my first is my girlfriend, and the second is my guitar and music. I couldn't live with out them. I dont understand why u guys have tpo call eachother names and yell at eachother, that's whats dumb. Not tryin' to get on anybodies bad side, but, just appreciate the fact that u can play, and that someone was talented enough to hear the music and Tab. Thanks for the Tab man, though, I think the harmonics are on the 7th fret. Just a suggestion.

dude yall all need to shut up!! This song shows that it doesnt matter if your a country boy or a gangster, or anything else for that matter. We all deal with the same s**t, yea our styles and taste in everything are different but we are all the same by what we go through, shut the f**k up and enjoy the song!!!
-babyslough22 | 2/17/2005
I look at it like this....I am a fan of all kinds of music, and play a lot of different kinds of music from gospel, to country, to rock and roll, ect...Even though this song features Nelly, the lyrics say everything country music has been saying forever. I think this is a well written song and you guys are raggin on it because it has someone from another genre of music in it. Open your minds and try to realize that music is music, no matter who sings it.
-jdmoore9902 | 2/21/2005
I agree. Everyone is making a big deal over something so stupid. If you like the song you like it, If you don't you don't
