CAPO 2nd FRET

Toby Keith - I love this bar

Intro - C

(verse 1)
         C G
We got winners, we got losers,
F C
 Chain smokers and boozers,
             C G
And we got yuppies, we got bikers,
      F G
We got, thirsty hitchhikers,

(bridge)
         Am G F
And the girls next door dress up like movie stars,
Dm Em F G C
hmm, hmm, hm , I love this bar,

(verse 2)
         C G
We got Cowboys, we got truckers,
F C
 Broken hearted fools and suckers,
              C G
An' we got husslers, we got fighters,
F G
 Early byrds and all nighters,

(bridge)
         Am G F
And the veterans talk about their battle scars,
Dm Em F G C
hmm, hmm, hm , I love this bar,

(chorus)
            Am C
I love this bar, it's my kind place,
      D7
Just walk in through the front door,
        G G7
Puts a big smile on my face,
             Am C - F
It ain't too far, come as you are,
Dm Em F G C
hmm, hmm, hm , I love this bar,

(verse 3)
           C G
I've seen short skirts, we've got high-techs,
F C
  Blue collar boys and rednecks,
             C G
An' we got lovers, lots of lookers,
           F G
I've even seen dancin girls and hookers,

(bridge)
        Am G F
And we like to drink our beer from a mason jar,
Dm Em F G C
hmm, hmm, hm , I love this bar,

(lead chords - Am - C - Am - C)

(bridge)
            G
I like my truck, (I like my truck),
            C
I like my girlfriend, (I like my girlfriend),
           D7
I like to take her out to dinner,
           G G7
I like a movie now and then,

(chorus)
                Am C
But I love this bar, it's my kind place,
      D7
Just trollin' around the dance floor,
        G G7
Puts a big smile on my face,
           Am C - F
No cover charge, come as you are,
Dm Em F G C
hmm, hmm, hm , I love this bar,
Dm Em F G C
hmm, hmm, hm , I love this bar,

toby plays this song in key of D, no capo!
-kobalt_kid | 10/21/2003
it dont matter what key its in as long as it sounds the same. these are tabs not sheet music
-bangmydilly | 10/29/2003
Actually cobalt kid, if you watch the video he is using a capo on the second fret and playing it in C which would actually be the key D.
-Gator Hutchison | 10/30/2003

yea..i saw him on osbourne too...the capo sounds better imho
-Serle | 11/19/2003
He also uses a capo on the live performance for Yahoo "Launch"
-toddgl | 11/19/2003
Good job on this one....It seems he actually plays it with the capo all the time as I have seen it like this too....I've tried it both ways and it sounds perfect either way. Personally, it's better for my voice if I slap the capo on.
-debeck | 12/3/2003
Something about the Dm doesn't sound right. The root D is right, but it doesn't sound right as Dm...any ideas?
-criley98 | 12/18/2003
i think he plays with a capo because it sounds better for his voice to.
-evh | 1/11/2004
