(verse 1)
D
It's Friday evening six o'clock,
     G
And all my friends are twisting off,
    D A
I'm at the house just turnin on t.v.
     D
Well they all wonder why I've changed,
     G
How many times must I explain,
      D A D
It's basic honky tonk anatomy,

(chorus)
     D G
The drinkin bone's connected to the party bone,
     D A
The party bone's connected to the stayin out all night long,
     D G
She won't think it's funny and I'll wind up all alone,
         D A D D D
And the lonely bone's connected to the drinkin bone,

(verse 2)
     D
Hey two plus two is always four,
     G
And down is south and up is north,
       D A
Thirty-two degrees is freezin cold,
     D
You play with fire you wind up burned,
     G
The early bird gets the worm,
     D A D
But the only thing you really need to know is,

(chorus)
     D G
The drinkin bone's connected to the party bone,

The party bone's connected to the stayin out all night long,
     D G

it's not a walkup, it's a filler it slides from the D to F# ending
on the A fromthe D chord, G to the B ending on the D notes these are
all "note fillers" not chords....
:)

I like the sound with the capo, it's easier
for me to play. Plus, I really thinks
it sounds more like a country song
with the capo
