This is pretty accurate and the way I saw him play it, except on the A min I do a A-B-C (A string) walk up to C. -darkhorse | 10/28/2003 | Yeah, actually when I play it I like that, too, except I usually let the bass do it, because I am fingerpicking around in the Am, hammerin on and pulling off all over the place, lol, but yeah, all by yourself, acoustic, I would do that all the time, lol. Good point, thanks for pointing that out.
Jason -Smoothie7745 | 10/29/2003 | This is the most accurate of all the rendentions that have been posted. thanx. -Belgarath | 2/18/2004 | Thanks! -Smoothie7745 | 2/19/2004 | Hey Jason this is one of my favorite counrty songs and I've always wanted to play it. Problem is I've never used a capo and dont have and Idea how to do the strumming part cause the notes change location with the capo.can ya help me out? I guess I could throw the capo off at that point and play open chords lol -hannahs_daddy03 | 5/31/2004 | Sure thing man, no problem, once you put the capo on the fourth fret, so it's pressing down all those strings in the 4th fret, then play a G normally, but in relevance to the capo. For instance, normally, a "G" is (low note to high note) 320033, or something close to that, right? Well, once that capo is in place, pretend like it's the starting place, only four frets up. So you still move up three frets from the capo, instead of from the head of the guitar, to play a "G". It's still 320033, but in relevance to the capo, NOT to the head of the guitar. So really, it's actually 764477, but it's just much easier and more accurate to play the song capoed 4 and in the key of "G" (320033). I hope this helps a little, if not, I probably misunderstood your question, please, let me know, and I will gladly help in any way necessary!
- Jason -Smoothie7745 | 6/1/2004 | GREAT GREAT GREAT TAB!!!!!! -dsctt86 | 8/15/2004 | Thanks, glad you like. Rate it! :-D -Smoothie7745 | 8/16/2004 | Hey Jason, Great Tab! Has anyone tabbed out the picking patterns after the intro? I know they generally follow the chords but they are intricate (lots of hammer ons etc.) -twfleming | 12/5/2004 | If anyone out there could submit a general pickin pattern I would appreciate it a lot. -redneckonthenet | 12/17/2004 | If someone else wants to tab out the picking pattern, by all means...I'll put up a sound byte of how I play it. It's actually a little more intricate than what Travis plays because I normally do it solo and it sounds cooler that way...anyways, I'll slap up a sound byte for those of you with good ears who want to pick it apart with just the acoustic guitar going. Good luck dudes. -Smoothie7745 | 7/24/2005 |
