           Dm
Well its a long way to Richmond,
G7 Dm
Rollin' off on 95.
       G7
With a redhead ridin' shotgun,
                   Dm
And a pistol by my side.
A7sus A7
Tearing down that highway,
       C G7 Dm
Like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde.

   Dm
We met at a truckstop,
G7 D
Johnson City, Tennesee.
      G G7
I was gassing up my Firebird,
                         Dm
When I heard her callin' me.
            A7sus A7
Said "Which way are you headed boy?
C G Dm
Do you need some company?"

           Dm
She had me stopping at a Kwik-Mart,
G7 Dm
Before we made it outta town.
G
Next thing she was runnin' at me,
                              Dm
Tellin' me to lay that hammer down.
                 A7sus A7
'Cause there's a man right behind me,
C G Dm
Doin' his best to slow me down.

                Dm
Yeah, and its a long way to Richmond,
G Dm
Rollin' off on 95.
       G
With a redhead ridin' shotgun,
G7 Dm
And a pistol by my side.
A7sus A7
Tearing down that highway,
       C G Dm
Like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde.

        Dm
Well we pulled up to a motel,
G7 Dm
In the middle of the night.
        G
We were counting all the money,
                        Dm
Smoking stolen Marlboro Lights.
         A7
Lord, we never saw 'em comin'
C G Dm
'Til they read us both our rights.

                Dm
Yeah, and its a long way to Richmond,
G7 Dm
Rollin' off on 95.
       G
With a sheriff right beside me,
       G7 Dm
Pistol pointed at my side.
       A7
Such a disappointing ending,
         C G Dm
For this modern day Bonnie and Clyde.

I might be wrong, as I only have tried playing it with the album and not from watching him, but I don't think there's a Dm anywhere in the song...if anything, it's a Dsus or whatever the name is for the tab notated this way: xx0230

I think that's right...but the lick you have here (the main melody lick that makes it sound like a minor) is right, for sure. Good tab.

The acoustic guitar player is playing a standard D and sliding it up to the 5th fret for that little riff sounding thingy. It plays well like that live.
