Family Farm.

This is my interpretation of this great song.
Please let me know of any changes that need to
be done and i will change. This is in a different
key to the cd, I think that it starts in E but
couldn't figure out all the chords,
if anyone nows them i will put it in the original key.
HAPPY PICKING

G D C D G
I rode the boundries of our place, for the very last time
        G D C
I was leaving for Sydney on the mail train,
    D G D C D
I'd made up my mind.
Em D C D G D C D
Dad died in June I'd never seen my mother so frail,
Am C
Three months later we had to put,
 	  D G
The family farm up for sale.

There was a five gallon mail box on a post by the road,
         C D
Where I turn up the valley, and wind my way home.
        Em D C
I could see mum and dad arm in arm,
 	  	    D G
In my memories of the Family Farm.

    G D C D G
No horses, no valleys, no crossings, no Hinterland streams
       G D C
Just a heart full of song, a guitar,
       D G
And a swag full of dreams.
      Em D C D G
In my dark little room i'd scratch out my letters to mum,
     Am C D G
And apart of me drifted back north, with every single one.

There was a five gallon mail box on a post by the road,
         C D
Where I turn up the valley, and wind my way home.
        Em D C
I could see mum and dad arm in arm,
 	  	    D G
In my memories of the Family Farm.

G D C D G
We laid mum to rest next to dad, the year the farm was sold.
G D C D G
months turned to years as i followed the call of the road
      Em D C D G
I was just passing through as i saw, that real estate sign
Am C D G
That very day i put my name on what had always been mine.

       Em D C

                      D G

In my memories of the Family Farm.
