Standing On A Rock
Two Tons Of Steel
CD: Oh No!
Tabbed by Jason Marbach - email questions to Smoothie7745 at hotmail.com

Capo I (all chords relative)

Adim+ = xxx999
A+ = x0x677

Note: I don't know the actual name of these 2 chords,
but the 1st is the one at the beginning of the song,
and the 2nd is the one at the end of the song. The
one I dubbed Adim+ is never on any instrument other
than the electric lead, so bear that in mind when you
follow what I have here.

P.S., anyone who knows the actual name of the two
weird chords that I put in here for lead's sake,
please, make a comment at the bottom and tell me...lol.
Thanks.

Intro: Adim+ ("A" on rhythm guitar, repeats after every
verse except the last, and during the bridge, the rhythm
plays "E" instead of "A")

Verse 1:
(NC) A
Well I'm a-standin' on a rock, and I ain't goin' nowhere
                    D A
I'm a-standin' on a rock, and I ain't gonna move
                         	  	  	    D
I got me somethin' to live for, I got somethin' to prove
                    A E A
I'm a-standin' on a rock, and I ain't gonna move

Verse 2:
Well it's a hard life livin', when you're livin' on the road
It's hard not to give in, when your bones're feelin' old
So don't you gimme no trouble, I won't tell you no lines
I'm believing in something and I can't stop trying

Repeat Verse 1

Bridge:
D A
You may be happy flying airplanes
D A
 Driving 'round in shiny cars
D A F#
Some people always do the right thing
B E
Some people know just who they are

Verse 1

Guitar Solo (play chorus)

Bridge

Verse 1

                          A E A
Well, I'm a standin' on a rock, and I ain't gonna move
                          A E D A A+
Well, I'm a standin' on a rock, and I ain't gonna move...

Hey! We originally recorded this in the key of Bb. The key of A works fine though. You could play a F# on the 2nd string (7th fret) and a C on the 1st string (8th fret). I thought of it as part of the IV7 chord, or D7 in the key of A. If yer playing to the recording you must move it up a fret for it to sound right.

Also, we didn't use a capo!

Hey, sorry for posting this one with a capo, it's just easier for
those of us who aren't as talented as you (no sucking up, being serious) on the guitar. Thanks also for setting me straight on the
IV 7 thing, it didn't quite sound right to me before. Rock on dude.
