Ain't no use in callin out my name gal

Like you never did before
C G Am C/G
Ain't no use in callin out my name gal
D7/F# G G7
I can't hear you anymore
C C7
When the rooster crows at the break of dawn
F Am
Look out your window and I'll be gone
C G Am F
You're the reason why I'm travellin on
C G C
Don't think twice, it's alright.
C G Am C/G
Walking down that long lonesome road gal
F G G7
Where I'm bound I can't tell
C G Am C/G
Goodbye is too good a word, gal
D7/F# G G7
So I'll just say Fare Thee Well
C C7
Well I ain't sayin you treated me unkind
F Am
You could've done better, but I don't mind
C G Am F
You just wasted my precious time
C G C
Don't think twice, it's alright
C G Am C/G
Ain't no use in turning on your light babe
F G G7
That light I never knowed
C G Am C/G
And it ain't no use in turnin on your light babe
D7/F# G G7
I'm on the dark side of the road
C C7
Still I wish there was somethin' you could do or say
F Am
To make me change my mind and stay
C G Am F
You never did too much talking anyway
C G C
Don't think twice, it's alright
C G Am C/G
Ain't no use to sit and wonder why babe
F G G7
It don't matter anyhow
C G Am C/G
It ain't no use to sit and wonder why babe
D7/F# G G7
If you didn't know by now
C C7
I'm a-thinkin and a-wondrin all the way down the road
F Am
I once loved a woman, a child I'm told
C G Am F
I gave her my heart But she wanted my soul
C G C
So don't think twice, it's alright.

Really cool song, thanks for the tab,The Am after the F sound a little funny to me but I'm probably playing it wrong. If you like this song listen to Susan Tedeschi's version,it is sweet. -426m | 1/13/2004 | I'm not sure if I heard this version, but it sounds pretty awesome, of course, it's Waylon Jennings, how could it not be awesome. The chords are a little different than the way I play it, and the words are all changed around, but the words sound cool, the way you have them here. The chords are probably more similar to the Bob Dylan version, than some of the other ones. -macg1 | 9/19/2005 |
