No way, man. Bob Dylan wrote the song. I don't understand why anybody thinks that the
Animals wrote it. They just covered it. In
fact, Bob Dylan wrote it as "the ruin of many poor girl", in the first verse. but everybody who covers it says boy. He never
did many covers anyhow, so it would be more
logical to say that he did write it, 'cause
he did.

Actually look it up, Dylan did not write the song, the artist is unknown for sure. This song has been around for longer than even Dylan.
