Em          B+             Em7 A7

Nothing but blue skies....do I see.

Em         B+            Em7   A7

Nothing but blue skies....from now on

BRIDGE

 G            G6   Cm         G

* Willie Nelson's #1 country hit in 1978 was but the latest in a long series of successful
versions of this standard. Introduced in the 1927 musical "Betsy" by Belle Baker, it
reached the charts no less than six times that year -- by Ben Selvin (#1); George Olsen
(#2); Vincent Lopez (#9); Johnny Marvin and Ed Smalle (also #9); Harry Richman (# 13);
and Vaughn Deleath. It Charted in 1941 by Johnny Long (#22), then again in 1946 by
both Count Basie (#8) and Benny Goodman (#9).

I play it like this. This is a pretty common method in music. Instead of Em/B+/Em7th/A7, try this. It is what you hear on his recording (and easier too) Bm/B7th/B6th/BMaj7th Try it like this:

XX9777 = Bm
XX8777 = B7th
XX7777 = B6th
XX6777 = BMaj7th

Also try these:

XX9787 = G
XX777X = D

Also, the later part of the song is moved up one half step...so move every number I have put up one fret. Much easier huh?

Congratulations to cowboynemo; not just for the song, but for giving credit to the writers. I think it would be great if all submitters would credit the writers, the people who created the music. Music is a work of art, and the artist that created it deserves to be recognized. As a struggling songwriter myself, I like to know who wrote it.
