Willie Nelson - Last Stand in Open Country
heels_fan_1@yahoo.com July 8 2002
There are some options instead of the B chord at the end of the verses. B sounds good, and B7 . And lastly the bass player plays a D# so you if like to work the bass line with you chords you could play B/D# if you know how, I don't. Anything sounds good. But i'm pretty sure it's a B7 in the verse and a B in the chorus.
E A I was looking for america, in a western movie C#m A Saw a young gun slinger with something to prove F#m and I came looking, like anybody else C#m I cam searching, like anybody else D B looking for that golden calf
E A And I came shooting for the stars, like any young blood C#m A I found a fat cat city, and crooked judge F#m I killed anything, standing in my path C#m I killed anything, till I laid my hands D B laid em' on the golden calf E C#m Now it's our last stand in open country E C#m This is my last chance to be with you A C#m This is the last dance, o for this kind of man A B E and I'm still lookin' for something to prove
E A I can around full circle, aged like an old dog C#m A Lookin' for them young bucks, just green as frogs F#m I ain't laying back, no time to laugh C#m I ain't laying back, theres a new kid coming D B gunnin' for that golden calf
E A And I was looking for america in a western movie C#m I saw Pike Bishop -Country7896 | 9/3/2002 | The line is... "I came around full circle, aged like an ol' dog"
