I'm Gonna Miss Her
By Brad Paisley
Tabbed By Larry Mofle
rmofle at satx.rr.com

When I did this, I changed the key from the CD to make it easier for me to play
and sing. I can also submit the CD version if everyone would like me to.

       G G/B C
Well I love her, but I love to fish
  D
I spend all day out on this lake
    G D
And hell is all I catch
    G G/B
But today she met me at the door
     C A7
Said I would have to choose
     G G/F# Em
If I hit that fishin' hole today
G G/F# Em
She'd be packin' all her things
    C A7 D
And she'd be gone by noon

Chorus:
               C G
Well I'm gonna miss her, when I get home
          D
But right now I'm on this lakeshore
        G G7
And I'm sittin' in the sun
               C
I'm sure it'll hit me
       G G/F# E7
When I walk through that door tonight
               C
That I'm gonna miss her
           D G
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Bridge:
    B Em
Now there's a chance that if I hurry
A7 D G (walk up notes G-A-Bb-B)
I could beg her to stay
B Em
But that water's right and the weather's perfect
   A7 D
No tellin' what I might catch today

Repeat Chorus

Here is how I do the intro to this song---it is more
simplified than others but it fits well..

   G C D A7
E------3---------0---------0-----2----------|
B------------------------------2-------2----|
G----0---------0---------0------------------|
D----------------------------0-----4-3-2----|
A--------0-1-2-----0-0h3--------------------|
E--3----------------------------------------|

-bubbabud | 11/10/2003
You damn right. This is an awsome song and
an awsome tab. Good job!

As a guy who grew up on Hendrix in Seattle, now I dig Hank. And Brad.
And Junior Brown. The list is endless. And don't forget them wicked
chicks. You know who I'm talkin' about!!!

-jamieguitar | 2/22/2004
it may just be me but i use an Em instead of an E7 on the word
tonight. it could just be me, but good tab anyway.

-zxxpress | 3/12/2004
Its sad but i think i'd rether catch a nice
large mouth than hang out with my gf anyday
nice tab keep it up
-Alrednck | 4/26/2004
You ain't lyin' there!! Large mouth fishin keeps me sane from the
wife and kids! Great tab lmofle!

-HighTechRedneck | 4/28/2004
I'd much rather worry about the pike on the
end of my line snapping off, than worry about
dating and love and such. My Taylor and my
fishing stuff are the only two babies Im ever
going to need to worry about. Nice tab, sounds
great!!!
-Lightning Rod | 5/6/2004
Great job guys. Does anyone know the walk
up chords he does after ", but I love to
fish" into "I spend all day out on this
lake". It goes from C to D but I can hear
one or two quick chords in between. Thanks
-windmill68 | 6/11/2004

-racingdei | 9/14/2004
it sounds nice in this key but i did notice one area that i think may need adjustment you have

C A7 D
And she'd be gone by noon

I think this C could be replaced with an A it Flows much better with the A

Merry (String Pluckin) Xmas
-KidRokk | 12/19/2004
dude thats a solid job. Im glad somebody figured it out without a damn capo. You dont need a capo to play everything!!!

-bound4nashville | 12/29/2004
what is a capo?
i would like a solid definition. i have tried to play this intro several different ways and it is pretty hard for me.

-dirtydfromsv | 1/5/2005
Hey, you can transfer this tab in the recorded key by down tuning half a step.

Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb
-Aggie86 | 2/10/2005
in the bridge i replaced all of the B chords with G chords and i thought if flowed much better. i might be wrong but you might wanna try it. The tab was great though keep'em comin.
-starkric08 | 5/22/2005
I don't see why you'd use a capo when it sounds like Brad uses SRV's half step down tuning. Maybe I'm missin somethin.
-bluesjunkie99 | 7/1/2005
The A7 should be a C and on the E7just carry on with the note you are allready playing

-kip24a | 11/26/2005
i made my girlfriend a cd of my band and this was the first song on... thanks to this tab. thank you
-cutecowboy | 11/30/2005
AMEN BROTHER, WOMEN ARE EVIL! I DON'T CARE IF IT'S YOUR MOTHER, SHE IS EVIL TOO!
-raven1 | 2/19/2006
G/B is close but for the real chord play middle finger on 5 string 2nd fret and pointer on 1st string 1st fret. slide up to this like on the intro tab but this is how it is in the auth. sheet music.
-bwhitty | 8/31/2009
Looks like this guy stole your tab and might be making money off of it!

http://www.freeandeasyguitar.com/songpages/ImGonnaMissHer_98.shtml

p.s. Brad doesn't tune down nor does he use a capo. He plays in the key of F# and makes it look easy! The mofo is even using the b-bender in the live version at the opry!

-BrianEarlHaines | 10/12/2009
You are on the right track here, just tune your guitar down a half step and you'll be in key with the album using this fingering

This is most likely they way they did it, if something is too hard to play, like trying to play this in F# in standard tuning, then you probably aren't doing something right like tuning down a half step
