Greatest Hits
Tabbed By: Jared Nunnally "nunzbomb at hotmail.com" or "nunnally at nsuok.edu"

Note: When you are playing the "D" note in the verses,
use the same slide that is in the Intro to go into the "D".

Intro:

E--1\2--2--2--2-2--
B--2\3--3--3--3-3--
G--1\2--2--2--2-2--
D--0----0--0--0-0--
A------------------
E------------------ (repeat 3 more times)

Verse 1:

                  D

Hold tight with a leather fist
                  G
Watch out when he starts to twist
                            D
What their daddies' used to tell them boys
                 A7
How to ride them bulls
               D
I got a jingle in my jeans
            G
Sore places in between
                     D A7
And I'm leavin' ole Salt Lake
                  D
With a push and a pull

Chorus:

N.C. G

10-4 buddy come on back
                     D
A horse trailer on a Cadillac
                          A7
Yeah we're talkin' to the cowboy
                D
In the Coupe De Ville
                  G
Chug-a-luggin' up one side
                 D
Slidin' down the other
                       A7 D
Well I'm a lover of the other side of the hill

Verse 2:

             D

Turn up that radio
                          G
Don't wanna think about a rodeo
                          D
Don't wanna think about a round-up
          A7
Up in old Cheyenne
                  D
Well it's a crazy circuit
                  G
Ahh but still you work it
               D
Turn down that sound, boys
      A7 D
Let's get up and check the scan

Chorus:

N.C. G
10-4 buddy come on back
                     D
A horse trailer on a Cadillac
                          A7
Yeah we're talkin' to the cowboy
                D
In the Coupe De Ville
                  G
Chug-a-luggin' up one side
                 D
Slidin' down the other
                        A7 D
Well I'm a lover of the other side of the hill

Verse 3:

                D
Bandana hangin' on the mirror
               G
Still wet from ear to ear
                  D
Well I guess it's true then
                  A7
What the wise men say
                   D
When you ride your last one
                   G
Make sure he's the best one
                D
Jump while he's movin'
         A7 D
Tip your hat boys and walk away

Chorus:

N.C. G
10-4 buddy come on back
                     D
A horse trailer on a Cadillac
                          A7
Yeah we're talkin' to the cowboy
                D
In the Coupe De Ville
                  G
Chug-a-luggin' up one side
                 D
Slidin' down the other
                        A7 D
Well I'm a lover of the other side of the hill

          G
10-4 buddy come on back
                     D
A horse trailer on a Cadillac
                          A7
Yeah we're talkin' to the cowboy
                D
In the Coupe De Ville
                  G
Chug-a-luggin' up one side
                 D
Slidin' down the other
                        A7 D
Well I'm a lover of the other side of the hill
                       A7 D
Well I'm a lover of the other side of the hill

good job! I love this song

To me A sounds better than A7. Also in the intro what I do is strum a D and move my fingers almost like a mute thing but not quite and I keep doing that while I play it. I know that's not exactly right, but my buddy taught me to play it that way and it sounds cool. It fits even if that's not the way Chris did it. I like to put my own spin on songs without killing them and I think that's what I do on this one. Try it out.
