By Cory Morrow

Written by: Morrow

Capo 2nd fret
~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^

G D G D G D G D

D
Well I remember when he called me little man,
D7 G D
This old friend of mine I never knew I had...he was my granddad.

Hey, that old man in the corner ain't so tough.
D7 G D
He'd stand so quite never showing what it was he was made of.

  A G D
- He said that all good things must have an end.
A G A D
He said someday we might all meet again in Heaven. -

     G D
- - "Well I've got everything I need",
F# Bm
That's what my grandpa said to me.
          G D
I said, "Someday I'll have all that, too.
             A G D
Then you'll see, I wanna be just like you...
             G D G D
Well I wanna be just like you." - -

D
Wasn't so long ago, we were out there on the road.
D7
This ole man and me,
                              G D
We'd take our travels to the sea and fill our dreams.

Now he'd walk slowly through all the dreams he knew.
D7 G
He'd tell me stories of everyone great he knew
                         D
And they were just like you.

- REPEAT CHORUS -
             G D
Hey there, grandpa, just like you.
        G D G D G D G D G D G D
I wanna be just like you.

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^

** I capoed this on the 2nd fret because of the change between
the D and the D7. I think they have more of a different sound
than the E and E7. You can play it whichever way you like...
I'll add the chord formations for either way. The first set is
for use with the capo, the second without.

CHORDS

   w/o E = 022100
         E7   =    020100
         A    =    X02220
         B    =    XX4442
         G# = X66544
         C#m = XX6544

enjoy :)

it may not be right but when you have the
capo on 2 it sounds better instead of playing a d7 slide down to fret 9 and play
a d there
