I'm not 100% sure on the bridge but sounds pretty close. He does a lot of hammer
on's early in the song, playing around with the chords, especially the Am's.

CAPO 1

F C Am G

F C
It was the summer before the real world started and,
Am G

the deal was we would get to go,
F C
if we
cleaned it up, and got it running,

Am G
Daddy's old Winnebago.

F C
Wing and a prayer down 65,
Am G

five best friends on four bald tires,
F G

I can still see Billy smiling
when we finally made it.

F

To Talladega,
C

boys raised up,

Am G
whiskey in your glass,

F
here's to turning up,

C
slowing down,

Am G
and cars that go real fast,

F
We were laughing and living,
C
drinking and wishing,

Am G F
and thinking as that checked flag was waving,

 	  	  	  G
sure would like to stay in,
F

Talladega.

C Am G

F C

Like a storm, time rolls on,

Am G
you can't hit pause as we just did.

F C
Most days in life don't stand out,

Am G
but life's about those days that we all like,

F
Rocking Randell,

C
getting rowdy,

C G F
shooting roman candles at the man in the moon,
 	  	  	  	  	 G

'til the Alabama sun was breaking.

sure would like to stay in,
F

Talladega.

C Am G

F
.

When the winds go cold
and it blows October,

F
I think about us shoulder to shoulder,
F

like those cars my thoughts roll over
 	  	      	  	  	 G
and over and over,
in my mind.

I think the bridge is just F until the very end when he goes the the G before the chorus. Regardless, this tab is great!

Thanks for posting! Love his new album!

The chords are good, but I think its played a half step down and in G. So the progression is G-D-Bm-A. It works better with the hammer-ons.

I agree with the 1/2 step down tuning comment. Eric does that often. Great job.

Its Half step down but he still plays it Capo on the second fret same chords as here. Thats how he gets that tone with the hammer ons and pull offs. Harder to get that sound without a Capo.

I just watched a video of him playing in with capo on the 6th fret.
