Watching Airplanes - Capo
Gary Allan

Capo 2

Intro: E-A-E-A-E

E                                                  A
Sitting out here on the hood of this truck looking up
E                            A
At a caramel colored sunset sky
E                                        A
Checking my watch, doing the math in my head
                         E                 A
Counting backwards from when you said goodbye
       Bm                                D
Well, those runway lights are getting brighter

Chorus:
     A                              D               A       D
I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes, take off and fly
  A                                      D
Trying to figure out which one you might be on
     A             D
And why you don't love me anymore
       F#m                E                 D       E-A
Right now I'm sitting out here watching airplanes

    E
I wouldn't of lied, couldn't of cried
                      A
Shouldn't have tried harder
      E                    A
Done anything to make you stay
           E                                      A
I wonder what you'd do if you looked out your window
                     E              A
And saw me running down the runway just like I was crazy
          Bm                      D
But that fence is too high, so am I

Chorus
     A                              D               A       D
I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes, take off and fly
  A                                      D
Trying to figure out which one you might be on
     A                 D
And why you don't love me anymore

   F#m                   E              B
By now, I know, you're thirty thousand feet above me
 G                    D       G            D
But a million miles away, a million miles away
   F#m                  E              D
By now, I know, I'd act like you don't love me
     A                                  D          A       D
I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes take off and fly

     A                                  D          A       D
I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes take off and fly
  A                                      D
Trying to figure out which one you might be on
     A                 D
And why you don't love me anymore
           A                                 D
Yeah, I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes

     A          D
Now bye, bye, bye
     A                              D
I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes
       A                    D
Baby, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye

F#m, not Fm...

Your are right, a problem with C/T program caused the "#" to be left off. When a song is submitted with a "#", you have to edit the song an insert the "#'s". At first I thought I had left the # out, but later found it was program problem.

I think it sounds good with C#m instead of Bm and D instead of B. Just a thought

I'll check your way. Thanks for the comment

These chords are right but it sounds better with the capo on the fourth fret
E=D
A=G
Bm=Bm
D=C
F#m=Em

2nd fret=4thfret

great job but to make it sound more true, throw in an Asus4 right after the A chord and a Dsus4 after the D chord. Listen to song for placement. Capo2 is cool.
