G Am D G
                G
I'm just a singer
                      Am
A natural born guitar ringer
               D
Kind of an old clinger
            G
to sad old songs

I'm not a walk behinder
                 Am
I'm a new note finder
                D
But my names a reminder of a
                        G
blues man that already gone

So I started drinkin
                                  Am
and took things that messed up my thinkin
           D
I was sure sinkin
              G
when you came along

I was alone in the hotlight
                     Am
not too much left in sight
                           D
But she changed all that in one night
                      G
when she sang me this song

           G
Hey baby I love you
           Am
Hey baby I need you
                  D G
Hey baby you ain't gotta prove to me your some kind of macho man

You waisted so much of your life
                   Am
Runnin through the dark night
                   D
Let me shine some love light
                G
Down on a blues man

Little BREAK

Same chords as before:

I got so sick of speed an
all the stuff they said I was needin
If I was to keep pleasin to all of my fans
I got cuffed on dirt roads
I got sued for no shows
But you came and took all that old load down on this blues man

Hey baby I love you too
Hey baby I need you
Hey baby I do get tired of this travelin band
                       G
I'm thirty years old now
                Am
nights would be cold now
                   D
If you wouldn't have stuck it out
                G
with this blues man

I'm thirty years old now
Night sure would be cold now
If you hadn't stuck it out
with this blues man

good job, but for some reason i've been playing a C chord in place of the Am in the verses and it sounds closer. let me know what ya think if ya try it that way
-chrisntx | 5/5/2003
I think the Am sounds good
-confederate | 11/22/2003
the Am is correct
-macksew | 1/21/2005
The Am is definately alternated with the C, but not in the chorus. it is played with Am the whole time.
-CKirschner07 | 6/13/2005
gimme a little time to re tab out some chords in there that are simply misplaced, or needs changed....
-KJ_CHRIS | 6/21/2005
It no doubt G C D7 G Am D7 in the verse and Am through chorus only
-sp40977 | 8/3/2008

Verse: G - C - D7 - G - D7 - G
