Kenny Chesney - Anything But Mine

Intro - E - A - E - A

(verse 1)
E A
Walking along beneath the lights of that miracle mile,
        E A
Me and Mary makin our way into the night,
         E
You can hear the cries from the carnival rides
     A
The pinball bells and the ski ball slides,
E A
Watchin the summer sun fall right out of sight

(bridge)
B A
There's a warm wind commin in, from off of the ocean
            E A
makin it's way past the hotel walls to feel the street,
E A
Mary's holdin both of her shoes in her hand
          E B E
Said she likes to fell the sand beneath her feet,

(chorus)
             E A
And in them mornin I'm a leavin makin my way back to Cleveland,
     E A
So tonight I hope, that I would do just fine,
    E A
And I don't see, how you could ever be,
E B E
 any-thing but mine,

(verse 2)
There's a local band playin, at the seaside pavillion
And I got just enough enough cash to get us in,
And as we were dancin Mary's wrappin her arms around me,
And I can feel the sting of summer on my skin,

(bridge)
In the midst of the music, I tell her I love her,
We both laugh cause we both know it isn't true,
Oh but Mary there's a summer drawing to an end tonight
And there's so much that I long to do to you,

(chorus)
             E A
But in them mornin I'm a leavin makin my way back to Cleveland,
     E A
So tonight I hope, that I would do just fine,
    E A
And I don't see, how you could ever be,
E B E
 any-thing but mine,

(lead - E - A - E - B = 2x's)

(chorus)
             E A
But in them mornin I'm a leavin makin my way back to Cleveland,
     E A
So tonight I hope, that I would do just fine,
    E A
And I don't see, how you could ever be,
E B E
 any-thing but mine,
     E A
Mary I don't see, how you could ever be,
E B E
 any-thing but mine,

(Outro - E - A - E - B - 2x's)

(chorus)
             E A
And in them mornin I'm a leavin makin my way back to Cleveland,
     E A
So tonight I hope, that I would do just fine,
    E A
And I don't see, how you could ever be,
E B E
 any-thing but mine,

awesome job sounds great.
-supacoopaflie | 4/17/2004
sounds great you're right on with the chords
but u added in a few extra words that makes the tune a lil harder to follow

Walkin along BENEATH the lights of that miracle mile

watchin the summer sun fall _ outta sight

& u typed enough twice in verse two

may be im just being a perfectionist but eh
awesome tab either way

Kenny Chesney is the man, the new CD rocks, i could easily listen to it all day, i highly suggest buying it to anyone who hasnt yet, great job tabbing it, sounds awesome.
-guitar156 | 1/4/2005
great tab!!! This is undoubtedly my favorite song off that album.

In the Bridge... it should be:
makin it's way past the hotel walls to *FILL* the street.

-jeepinchad | 1/27/2005
Great tab thanks
-Cards17 | 2/23/2005
any alternate fingering for the B chord? Kinda hard to switch to that cord fast enough...
-brett3116 | 3/8/2005
I want the bass tab to this song
-splat340 | 3/11/2005
As an alternate to playing the B, try playing a B7 as follows:

EAGDBe
X21202

Sounds just as good as tabbed above just a little easier to play.
-swbennett | 4/15/2005
In the chorus, with the recording, it sounds like:

(chorus)
E B A
But in them mornin I'm a leavin makin my way back to Cleveland,
E A
So tonight I hope, that I would do just fine,

Anyone else notice this?
-tgaulton | 4/22/2005
the chords seem right on, but the lyrics are completely screwed.

The lyrics are closer to this:

Walking along beneath the lights of that miracle mile
Me and Mary making our way into the night
You can hear the cries from the carnival rides
The pin-ball bells and the ski-ball slides
Watching the summer sun fall out of sight
There's a warm wind coming in from off of the ocean
Making its way past the hotel walls to fill the street
Mary is holding both of her shoes in her hand
Said she likes to feel the sand beneath her feet

And in the morning I'm leaving, making my way back to Cleveland
So tonight I hope that I will do just fine
And I don't see how you could ever be anything but mine

There's a local band playing at the seaside pavilion
And I got just enough cash to get us in
And as we're dancin Mary's wrapping her arms around me
And I can feel the sting of summer on my skin
In the midst of the music I tell her I love her
We both laugh cause we know it isn't true
Ah but Mary there's a summer drawing to an end tonight
And there's so much that I long to do to you

But in the morning I'm leaving, making my way back to Cleveland
So tonight I hope that I will do just fine
And I don't see how you could ever be anything but mine

And in the morning I'm leaving, making my way back to Cleveland
So tonight I hope that I will do just fine
And I don't see how you could ever be anything but mine

Mary I don't see how you could ever be anything but mine

Someone please feel free to add the chords in

As I have said a MILLION times.....

I have these charted out weeks / months before the cd is even released to the general public so therefore I do not have the liner notes...

Therefore I am more concerned with how accurate the chord structure is....

People then let me know of the lyrical mistakes...

and as far as your lyrics there the only thing that was different was: drawing to an end tonight.... but thanks for the correction anyway.....

It only takes me a couple of minutes to work up a song but can take me a couple of hours to figure out the lyrics......that can get old...and in most cases (99% of the time) NO ONE wants to offer the lyrics when they want a request a song to be tabb'd...........but are quick to remark when lyrics are wrong........

-palamin0 | 6/9/2005
awesome tab! I play a Bm7 instead of a B and it sounds pretty good. thanks for the great tabs.

-fire1877 | 7/7/2005
sorry, it is A B7, not a Bm7. thanx again
-fire1877 | 7/7/2005
in the chorus you have a B...i think its a B7 in the chorus...the B sounds right in the verses though...also does anyone know the picking pattern for this? great tab by the way
