It really is a strange chord progression. Gotta hand it to them on the unique factor, and making it sound good. -dantheman85x | 8/14/2008 |
to play the song faster i play Gm-- 355333 BMaj-- x24442 CMaj-- x35553
i don't know if it's right but it sounds good to me -carlsont | 8/22/2008 |
The G B C is progression is right... however after playin' the darn thing for too long, I realized that in the studio song, the C has a 9th added to it. And naturally, if you play a B/G and only ring the top 3 strings, you got your B... Play these chords once and see if you can hear it.....
G ~ 320033
B/G ~ 030033
Cadd9 ~ X32033
... Check out the Youtube music video and watch the opening lick, you'll see it! Remember, play fast!

I think the B/G is x20033. ? -gsg_60 | 11/6/2008 |
The intro chords and main hook are played with pedal G (3rd fret B string, 3rd fret E string) while 3rd Fret Low E, then 2nd Fret A, 3rd Fret A, as specified in an above comment.
Also, the pre-chorus or girls part you can clearly hear the minor 2nd chord and should be:
D Am Keep on talking to me baby C G Im hanging on your every word D Am Keep those drinks a coming maybe C D Well both get what we deserve
